Growing together.The Financial Planning and Analysis Re-engineering team at Optum is leading strategic initiatives to transform financial modeling and operational decision-making. In this role, you will assist in re-engineering and redesigning forecasting and other FP&A processes to achieve near real-time financial statements across Optum segments. You will apply Six Sigma methodologies to drive process optimization, incorporate innovative technology and AI solutions, mitigate risks, and partner with senior leadership to deliver world-class business outcomes and incremental impact.Primary Responsibilities:Utilize Six Sigma methodology to lead process re-engineering and redesign financial planning, forecasting, and analysis initiatives toward near real-time financial reportingDrive process optimization across Optum business segments to integrate best-in-class AI solutions and world-class processes resulting in incremental business valueCoordinate and execute strategic operational initiatives, defining scope, resource allocation, performance metrics, and key project results across cross-functional teamsInvestigate non-standard operational requests and complex issues, analyzing pertinent data and facts to solve problems and mitigate project risksPrepare and deliver strategic presentations and progress updates to senior leadership and key business stakeholdersManage vendor relationships and service providers to ensure alignment with project deliverables, scope, and timeline requirementsMaintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, risk logs, and performance tracking metrics within the Project Management Office (PMO) frameworkPrioritize workloads effectively while executing ad hoc strategic operational projects as assignedYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Six Sigma training completed or certification in progress4+ years of project management administration or project management experience, including tracking and reporting responsibilities for a large portfolio of projects2+ years of experience tracking and planning projects, working with large data sets, and making data-driven analytical decisionsIntermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePointDemonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely and facilitate cross-functional meetingsPreferred Qualifications:Certified Public Accountant (CPA)Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification2+ years of healthcare industry experienceExperience working within a formal Project Management Office (PMO)Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) re-engineering or financial modeling initiativesExperience leveraging automated tools or AI solutions to enhance operational workflowsPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
