Job Type: Full-time

Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour

Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM (Overtime support as needed)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Team Leader to join our team. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in leading daily warehouse operations, guiding team members, and ensuring shipping, receiving, safety, and quality standards are consistently met.

This is a hands-on leadership position where you will lead by exampleassisting with daily pack room duties, coordinating inventory counts, providing back-up coverage, and promoting continuous process improvements across our facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Coverage: Lead daily shipping and receiving tasks. Provide active staffing coverage in the pack room during high-volume days or planned/unplanned absences.
• Facility & Keyholder Support: Hold facility keys to handle opening and closing duties as required; provide leadership support during overtime hours.
• Operational Continuity: Serve as primary backup coverage for the Production Team Leader during PTO and unexpected absences.
• Inventory & Quality Control: Participate in scheduled inventory cycle counts, assist with variance resolution, and ensure the team adheres to company quality standards and SOPs.
• Training & Supervision: Coordinate training for new and existing team members to ensure safety and operational standards are followed. Assign daily responsibilities in line with operational needs.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervision, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Contract Administration teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and propose opportunities to optimize warehouse processes, boost efficiency, and maintain a clean, safe, and 5S/organized work area.
• Issue Escalation: Promptly report any concerns regarding quality, equipment, material, or labor to management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
• Leadership Experience: Prior experience leading or supervising a team in a warehouse/manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with SAP or similar ERP programs is highly desirable.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous process improvement principles is a plus.
• Communication & Organization: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead, delegate, and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Problem Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot operational issues, follow detailed work instructions, and work with minimal supervision.
• Dependability: Outstanding attendance record, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety policies and workplace standards.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Frequently required to stand, walk, reach, handle tools, and bend/stoop.
• Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift/move up to 15 lbs, and occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs.
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
