The Opportunity

Braeside Community Management, Ltd. is seeking an experienced, results-driven Vice President of Community Management Operations to lead our community management team and support the continued growth of the organization.

This senior leadership position is responsible for employee development, client retention, operational performance, business growth, and profitability. The successful candidate will provide direct leadership to Community Managers while ensuring that client communities receive responsive, consistent, and professional service.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can build strong teams, develop lasting client relationships, improve operating processes, and use financial and performance data to drive sound business decisions.

What You Will Lead

Team Leadership and Employee Development

•     Lead, coach, and hold Community Managers accountable for team performance.

•     Conduct structured skip-level meetings with employees at least every other month to identify support needs, address concerns, and strengthen employee engagement.

•     Create and monitor development plans for top performers and performance-improvement plans when necessary.

•     Coordinate at least one formal refresher or professional-development training each quarter based on business trends and employee needs.

•     Meet regularly with executive leadership and Human Resources to review employee development, staffing, retention, and performance.

Client Retention and Relationship Management

•     Develop and execute strategies designed to maintain strong client-retention results.

•     Lead regular client-retention and portfolio-review meetings with executive team members.

•     Ensure client concerns, action items, deadlines, and responsible parties are properly documented and followed through to completion.

•     Confirm that every client receives proactive outreach and relationship-building contact at least quarterly.

•     Personally maintain relationships with the company's highest-value and most strategically important clients.

•     Identify at-risk clients, determine the cause of dissatisfaction, and implement timely corrective-action plans.

•     Establish consistent processes for tracking client satisfaction, service issues, renewal opportunities, and potential account losses.

Business Development and Growth

•     Support the company's annual client-growth and revenue objectives.

•     Participate in prospective-client presentations and sales meetings.

•     Attend regular sales-pipeline meetings and provide leadership, feedback, and strategies for closing new business.

•     Review and approve pricing proposals, management agreements, and contract terms.

•     Evaluate the financial impact of proposed management fees, inclusive contracts, staffing requirements, and service commitments.

•     Partner with business-development personnel to organize educational seminars and networking opportunities for association board members.

•     Strengthen the company's reputation through excellent client service, community engagement, and positive online reviews.

Financial Performance and Profitability

•     Review and fully understand company and departmental financial performance.

•     Maintain accountability for budgets, revenue, expenses, staffing levels, and profitability.

•     Monitor key financial and operational performance indicators, including EBITDA, labor costs, client profitability, retention, and revenue growth.

•     Identify financial trends and operational issues that could affect performance.

•     Help develop and implement corrective-action plans when financial or operational goals are not being achieved.

•     Evaluate available business levers throughout the month to help the company meet or exceed budget.

•     Use reporting and business-intelligence tools to analyze results and forecast trends.

•     Ensure appropriate services and internal business resources are consistently presented and utilized across the client portfolio.

Operational Excellence

•     Establish clear expectations, deadlines, and accountability for operational initiatives.

•     Develop and improve procedures that enhance efficiency, service consistency, and client satisfaction.

•     Monitor Community Association Manager workloads, portfolio performance, and service standards.

•     Promote effective communication and collaboration among community management, accounting, Human Resources, business development, and executive leadership.

•     Provide senior-level assistance with escalated board, homeowner, employee, and operational matters.

•     Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular progress reports to executive leadership.

What You Bring

•     Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, real estate, finance, or a related field preferred.

•     Seven or more years of progressive leadership experience in community association management, property management, real estate services, hospitality, or a related service industry.

•     Five or more years of experience leading managers and multi-level operational teams.

•     Demonstrated experience with client retention, employee development, operational improvement, and business growth.

•     Strong understanding of budgets, financial statements, profitability, pricing, and contract review.

•     Experience managing a department, branch, region, or significant portfolio of client accounts.

•     Strong leadership, coaching, communication, presentation, and conflict-resolution skills.

•     Ability to organize competing priorities and hold team members accountable for deadlines and results.

•     Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business-reporting platforms; Power BI experience is strongly preferred.

•     Current community association management license or credential where required by applicable state law.

•     Ability to attend evening board meetings, client events, and occasional weekend functions when necessary.

•     Ability to travel locally to client properties, meetings, and business-development events.

Preferred Qualifications

•     Experience managing condominium, homeowners, townhome, or master-planned community associations.

•     CMCA, AMS, PCAM, or comparable industry designation.

•     Experience leading Community Association Managers.

•     Demonstrated success improving employee retention, client retention, revenue growth, and profitability.
