Women's Health Advance Practice Provider

The Certified Nurse Midwife or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner works at the Ohio State University College of Nursing Inter-professional Collaborative Practice Clinic (IPCP) at OSU Total Health Care Center, located at Outpatient Care East and the Eastland Prosperity Center, with NPs and other members of the inter-professional collaborative practice team to provide antenatal, post-partum and gynecological care to patients in a clinic setting; works with members of the healthcare team to formulate treatment plans; triages patients and provides emergency treatment when appropriate; conducts in-service training and monitors the skill levels of clinical staff; teaches and mentors health professional students on theory and practice of care delivery by an inter-professional team; serves as preceptor for RN, APN and medical students; consults and/or refers women to an appropriate provider for conditions, that fall outside the scope of midwifery care.

Minimum Education required, degree level and focus area: Master of Science Degree in Nursing. APRN license with certification as an NP.

Minimum Years of Experience required: 0 years of relevant experience required.

Desired Qualifications: 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
