- Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating tailored care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses in conjunction with physicians or independently, based on your credentialing
- Educating patients and their families about prevention strategies, health and wellness, and effective disease management
- Prescribing appropriate medications and treatments consistent with your scope of practice
- Engaging in follow-ups and chronic care management
- Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and seamless patient care
- Accurately documenting all patient interactions and care using electronic medical records (EMR)
- Completed Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Graduated from a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current nurse practitioner licensure in Michigan
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC), or equivalent in your specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Exceptional clinical judgment complemented by an empathetic approach to patient care
- Strong communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Able to thrive in fast-paced, patient-focused environments
- Familiarity with EMR systems and comfort in telehealth settings
- Team player dedicated to implementing evidence-based practices
