HVAC Technician

Employment Type: Full Time Shift: Evening What we offer Competitive compensation and benefits packages including medical, dental, and vision coverage Retirement savings account with employer match starting on day one Generous paid time off programs Employee recognition incentive program Tuition/professional development reimbursement Relocation assistance (geographic restrictions apply) Discounted tuition and enrollment opportunities at the Mount Carmel College of Nursing What you'll do Inspect and determine the repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns and major overhauls on heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems at on and off‑site locations Install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and overhaul heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and replace parts as necessary, check and test for proper operation, set and adjust the equipment, and return the system to operation after repair at on and off‑site locations Read blueprints, install equipment in accordance with blueprints and specifications, update and correct blueprints to reflect as‑built conditions Perform preventive maintenance on heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems at on and off‑site locations Operate and adjust HVAC systems to heat and cool air to specified temperatures and humidity Inspect, install, adjust and maintain hospital equipment systems to include, but not limited to, chillers, cooling towers, and air handlers Perform tests and chemically treat the boiler water in closed‑loop systems and cooling tower water at on and off‑site locations Perform snow removal duties, including the maintenance and operation of 4‑wheel drive vehicles, plows, salt spreaders, tractors, blowers, and apply salt and de‑icers Qualifications Minimum education: High school graduate or equivalent; vocational training preferred; graduate of an approved technical or trade school preferred; major concentration in heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration theory Certification: Universal Refrigeration Certification Three (3) years of experience in installation and repair of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment Knowledge of chemical water treatment, testing and analysis Knowledge of electrical controls and electrical theory relating to HVAC systems Knowledge of temperature control systems Knowledge of indoor air quality standards Experienced in blueprint reading and knowledge of state and local codes Assurance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment maintained at on and off‑site locations Assist in training new associates Must have a valid Ohio driver's license Equal Opportunity Employer We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
