Financial Analyst - Intermediate

Kforce has a client in Tempe, AZ that is seeking an Intermediate Financial Analyst. Summary: The Financial & Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial and operational data, maintaining accurate records, and preparing reports that support business decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills across multiple areas, including financial analysis and data analysis, with the ability to interpret information, identify trends, and communicate findings effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial data and apply principles of finance to support financial operations and reporting
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, reports, and related documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within databases and other data management systems
- Collect, organize, and validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Generate recurring and ad hoc reports based on financial and operational data
- Analyze data and identify trends, variances, and key insights to support business decisions
- Research discrepancies and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve data or financial issues
- Translate complex financial and operational information into clear, actionable findings for management
- Support process improvements related to financial reporting, data management, and analysis
- Perform additional analytical and reporting responsibilities as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to analyze large amounts of information and identify meaningful trends and discrepancies
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data or reporting tools
- Financial Analysis: Applying principles of finance to analyze financial operations and prepare or evaluate financial statements
- Data Analysis: Maintaining accurate database records, generating reports, and analyzing and presenting data
