Retail Assistant Branch Manager

Responsibilities Assist Manager in achieving branch sales and revenue goals by proactively identifying, marketing, and recommending banking products and services beneficial to the customer. Support the Retail Branch Manager in driving results, growing consumer and business customer relationships, community engagement, and in-store partner relationships. Develop and lead innovative strategies to grow, retain, and deepen customer relationships; proactively grow deposits and loans through inside and outside business calling. Enhance customer experience by greeting, engaging, and developing relationships with customers, community members, and retail partners; embrace and lead a technology-driven customer experience. Lead and coordinate a community engagement strategy with the Community Development Relationship Manager to be an engaged community partner. Inspire and coach team members to reach their full potential and act as a positive role model; perform other duties as assigned. Exhibit operational excellence by adhering to policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality and comply with required guidelines. Perform branch servicing duties (paying/receiving, cash and vault balancing, ordering cash and reports, maintenance of ATMs) and practice prudent expense management. Address customer questions and refer to internal resources with ownership until final resolution. Qualifications & Requirements 3 years of relevant sales and/or customer service experience, or an Associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience. Demonstrated leadership ability; prior supervisory experience is helpful. Previous in-store banking experience is preferred but not required. Positive and engaging demeanor; ability to work flexible or extended hours as needed. Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to learn and apply products, services, policies, procedures, regulatory guidelines, and sales/service processes; maintain confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Education & Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Work Status Full-Time. Supervisory Responsibility Mentor or lead a team of junior staff; does not typically have formal management responsibility for personnel decisions. Travel Up to 25% or more outside of branch or as needed by customers. Working Conditions Standing for long periods; occasional lifting up to 30 lbs; other physical requirements as necessary.
