Overview of Job Responsibilities:

The staff physician in the clinical pathway will deliver direct outpatient care to patients with Gastrointestinal and Hepatology needs at our facilities in Doral and/or the upcoming Solé Miá in North Miami, which is set to open in fall 2025. This role involves providing outpatient clinical services and endoscopic procedures for patients requiring Gastroenterology and Hepatology care, as well as conducting screening procedures.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:

• Oversee outpatient clinic operations and endoscopic procedures at our Doral and Solé Miá locations.

• Participate in night and weekend on-call rotations at the medical campus, sharing responsibilities with fellow physicians.

• Engage in inpatient rotations at UHT or JMH, in alignment with other healthcare providers.

Qualifications:

• MD degree with completion of an ACGME-accredited internal medicine internship, residency, and Gastroenterology fellowship.

• Current American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or board eligible).

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology/Hepatology (or board eligible).

• Possession of a valid, unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligibility to apply (must obtain license prior to credentialing).

• Valid DEA registration.

• Current BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS certification is preferred.

• Ability to provide case logs for procedures performed in the past two years for credentialing purposes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of and ability to implement professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.

• Commitment to maintaining Continuing Medical Education (CME) to fulfill institutional and state licensing requirements.

• Extensive clinical knowledge and experience to ensure safe, high-quality patient care that meets institutional standards.

• Ability to conduct close patient encounters within a 72-hour timeframe.
