About the Role

As a Principal Scientist U.S. Medical & Scientific Affairs Wellness you will serve as a strategic scientific partner to the business owning scientific claims strategy driving evidence generation and translation and shaping how trusted brands like Centrum Emergen-C and Benefiber are positioned in the U.S. market. This role is pivotal in transforming scientific and clinical evidence into claims communications and education initiatives that directly impact consumers and healthcare professionals at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Leadership & Influence

• Lead medical and scientific strategy for assigned brands aligned to business priorities.

• Provide scientific leadership and influence to shape brand strategy product positioning and innovation direction.

• Act as a trusted advisor driving cross-functional alignment and informed decision-making.

Evidence Generation & Scientific Claims Ownership

• Lead evidence generation strategies for innovation and marketed products.

• Own scientific claims strategy and substantiation translating evidence into clear compelling and appropriate claims and messaging for consumer and HCP audiences.

• Ensure claims meet scientific and regulatory standards while enabling strong differentiated communication.

• Apply innovative approaches (e.g. real-world data decentralized/digital research consumer experience studies) to strengthen evidence and consumer relevant claims.

Scientific Communications & External Engagement

• Develop and execute science communication strategies that translate evidence into engaging content for consumer and healthcare professional audiences.

• Lead creation of scientific content (e.g. publications presentations training and consumer education) using scientific storytelling and visualization (e.g. infographics digital media and simplified data visuals) to make complex science clear credible and accessible.

• Build relationships with trusted KOLs and wellness thought leaders to generate insights inform strategy and strengthen scientific credibility.

• Serve as a scientific ambassador ensuring Haleons science is effectively connected across expert and consumer channels.

Stakeholder Collaboration & In-Market Execution

• Partner across R&D Regulatory Legal Commercial and Consumer Science to translate science into claims and communications for the U.S. market.

• Lead medical review of promotional materials to ensure accuracy and alignment with scientific and regulatory expectations.

• Maintain deep expertise in assigned products therapeutic areas and regulatory context; proactively track emerging science to inform brand strategy and consumer/HCP education.

• Monitor the competitive claims landscape scientific advancements and consumer insights to identify opportunities and inform strategy.

• Ensure high-quality timely delivery across initiatives.

Why you

Basic Qualifications

• Advanced degree in biomedical health or related life sciences.

• 5 years of experience in Medical/Scientific Affairs related role in pharma/consumer healthcare/CPG.

• Strong background in the interpretation evaluation translation and communication of science for consumer and healthcare professional audiences.

• Proven ability to translate scientific evidence into claims and communications.

• Ability to convey complex scientific concepts in a clear concise and compelling manner.

• Highly organized and self-directed individual possessing excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

• PhD MD MS/RDN PharmD or similarly trained healthcare professional.

• Knowledge and expertise in wellness human nutrition research and naturals/dietary supplements.

• Strategic thinker analytical and solution-oriented with strong business acumen.

Location: This role is based in based in Warren NJ and follows a hybrid model requiring an in-office presence of 3 days per week.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is:$161919 - $222638 plus an 18% on-target annual bonus.
