LPN (S) Night Shifts

Mountain Youth Academy (a UHS company) is seeking LPN (S) for Night Shifts to join our growing team! Come make a difference in the life of a child and love what you do! This role requires a successful background check, fingerprinting and employment verification. Mountain Youth Academy is centrally located near Johnson City, TN, Boone, NC, and Abingdon, VA. We are a 120-bed residential treatment facility and assist in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health issues for our young adolescent patients.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: (include, but are not limited to, the following)

• Patient assessment and care planning: Performing comprehensive assessments on patients, including mental status evaluations, vital signs, and physical health needs, and contributing to individualized care plans based on the patient's needs.
• Medication administration: Accurately administering prescribed medications, including psychotropic medications, and monitoring for side effects.
• Behavioral observation and documentation: Observing and documenting patient behavior, including changes in mood, affect, and behavior patterns, and reporting any concerning behaviors to the registered nurse.
• Therapeutic communication: Engaging in therapeutic communication with patients, actively listening, providing emotional support, and assisting with coping mechanisms.

Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIAL SKILLS:

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• EMR Electronic Medical Record Knowledge of Mental Health Disorders
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Psychotropic Medications
• Phlebotomy
• Exceptional ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
• Strong Interpersonal and organization skills.
