Travel Med-Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse - $2,635 per week

Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/22/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours (Night 4x12‑Hour, 19:00‑07:30) Employment Type: Travel This assignment involves working on a 40‑bed, non‑specialty Med‑Surg unit (5 West) caring for patients ages 18 and older, including conditions such as sepsis, respiratory, gastrointestinal, endocrine, cardiac and COVID‑19. The unit implements a team‑based care delivery model that includes bedside RNs, LPNs, CNAs, virtual nurses and other allied professionals. Staff members will be required to float within scope to meet the staffing needs of the hospital, including potential float to the Bellevue campus. Responsibilities Manage titratable drips, chest tubes, tracheostomies and complex wound care. Administer post‑bariatric procedures, high‑oxygen delivery systems and end‑of‑life care. Perform EPIC charting and maintain patient documentation accurately. Record and monitor telemetry, including remote monitoring and alarm response. Assist with laboratory and diagnostic testing as required. Provide care in accordance with the team‑based care delivery model and promote effective communication and leadership. Qualifications & Requirements Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience in a large, urban hospital or Level I academic medical center. Experience with EPIC charting system. Proficiency in managing central lines, arterial lines, PICC lines, and vascular, cardiac and respiratory therapies. Ability to float to multiple units, including 5 West, 4 CS, 6 Neuro, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, SOTU and associated tech/transport teams. Must be a non‑local candidate (more than 100 miles from the facility). Required to work 4 weekend shifts per 4‑week period; nights on Friday and Saturday nights. Must schedule up to two weeks of RTO (requested time off) by submitting a request with the application. Must attend a mandatory charting class on the Friday of orientation week. COVID‑19 vaccine required; medical or religious exemption permissible. Flu vaccine not required. Additional Information & Compensation Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 48 hours per week; amounts subject to confirmation. Tax‑free stipend amounts to be determined. SCRUBS: Mandatory Steele‑gray scrubs with the Nebraska Medicine logo; options include gray T‑shirts sold in the facility store. 100% nicotine‑free facility; any suspicion of nicotine use may lead to immediate contract termination. Parking available with a permit (~$55/month) or daily rate ($3 for 20 hrs). Contractual start date not earlier than 48 hours after license submission; if Nebraska RN license not in hand at submission, start date will be six weeks out. Contract and compliance documents must be submitted by the Tuesday prior to start, 4 PM CST.
