Member Specialist

Position Summary At Sam’s Club, you will serve members by providing support and operating front-end equipment. You will manage checkout operations, resolve member issues, promote products, and maintain a safe, organized environment. Responsibilities Provide member service and support to members regarding self‑service technology. Maintain the checkout area and process member purchases. Assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures. Follow company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps. Handle merchandise properly and correct unsafe situations. Maintain entrance and exit areas, verify membership cards, and identify member needs. Assist members with locating merchandise, making purchasing decisions, and transporting items. Maintain a safe shopping environment and zone the area appropriately. Review member receipts and safeguard Sam’s Club assets by observing potential criminal activity. Maintain required paperwork, logs, and documentation. Execute emergency response procedures and ensure compliance with security and safety practices. Assist with training new associates on company processes and technology. Deliver rollout training for new programs and provide continuous learning opportunities. Identify shrink and damages and report them. Drive continuous improvements and adapt to change. Compensation The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
