Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for our client in Monroe Township, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

• 3rd Shift: 11PM - 7AM
• Plus Overtime

Pay Rate:

• $21 / hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse and distribution operations. This role is responsible for safely loading and unloading route delivery trucks and tractor-trailers, moving and storing products, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring products are handled properly to prevent damage. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating a forklift, performing basic equipment maintenance, and assisting with general warehouse duties in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate loading and unloading of route delivery trucks per ticket requirements.
• Timely and accurate loading and unloading of tractor-trailer trucks.
• Responsible general housekeeping to ensure our warehouse standards are met in a safe and professional manner. This may include sweeping, consolidation of product, facility maintenance, organizing product and other tasks as necessary.
• Maintain the integrity of products through proper handling and storage.
• Maintain accurate inventories.
• Ensure safe operation of a forklift.
• Movement of delivery trucks including truck refueling which requires working outdoors.
• Carry out simple maintenance on the forklift, like recharging its battery and refueling.
• Identify and report mechanical and electrical faults to the supervisor or to the right technicians.
• Pack goods in the warehouse by hand when situation demands. Perform quality checks on inbound goods.

Job Requirements:

• Previous forklift operating and warehouse experience required, with the ability to safely load, unload, move, and store products
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory, perform quality checks on incoming goods, and handle products carefully to maintain product integrity
• Ability to perform basic forklift maintenance, including battery charging and refueling, and promptly report mechanical or electrical issues
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, including moving and refueling delivery trucks and assisting with manual packing when needed
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse through housekeeping, product consolidation, organization, and general facility support
