Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction. To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging’s critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses. Key Responsibilities Complete all exams including all applicable ancillary charges and verify exams in a timely manner upon completion. Take x‑ray images of specified body parts as ordered and follow established procedures, processing images accordingly. Practice radiation safety during exams in keeping with the ALARA principle. Provide lead shields to protect unaffected body parts from exposure to radiation. Perform all procedures as requested; determine appropriate exposure, give proper instructions to and position patients with minimal repeats. Adapt exams to the needs of patients in special age groups, familiar with use of positioning aids (pigg‑o‑stat, etc.) for pediatric exams.
