We’re seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Full-Service Bookkeeper with deep expertise in QuickBooks Online to join our growing team and support our expanding client base. The ideal candidate is experienced in managing the day-to-day financial operations of small businesses, comfortable working independently, and passionate about keeping accurate, organized books.

Key Responsibilities
Full-Service Bookkeeping
- Manage complete bookkeeping processes for multiple small-business clients
- Record and categorize income and expenses accurately and consistently
- Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and other financial accounts
- Maintain accurate Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable records
- Enter and process vendor bills and customer invoices
- Apply customer payments and vendor payments appropriately
- Manage recurring transactions, journal entries, deposits, transfers, and other bookkeeping activities
- Review transactions for accuracy, proper categorization, and supporting documentation
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or unusual transactions
- Maintain organized and up-to-date client books
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Complete monthly bookkeeping and account reconciliations
- Prepare and review financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports
- Generate customized financial reports based on client needs
- Perform month-end review procedures and ensure accounts are properly reconciled
- Identify trends, inconsistencies, and potential issues within client financials
- Assist clients with understanding their financial reports and bookkeeping needs
Payroll & Tax Support
- Assist with payroll-related bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Record payroll transactions and verify payroll-related accounts
- Assist with sales tax, payroll tax, and other bookkeeping-related compliance tasks
- Provide accurate financial information and reports to clients and tax professionals as needed
- Assist with year-end close and preparation of books for tax filing
Client Communication & Support
- Communicate professionally and proactively with clients regarding their bookkeeping
- Request and follow up on missing documentation or information
- Answer client questions regarding transactions, reports, and bookkeeping processes
- Identify opportunities to improve client bookkeeping systems and processes
- Maintain detailed documentation of client communications and bookkeeping activities
- Build strong, professional relationships with clients while providing exceptional service
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online — including reconciliations, bank rules, recurring transactions, journal entries, reporting, and troubleshooting
- Experience managing books from start to finish, including A/R, A/P, reconciliations, payroll entries, and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements
- Experience working with multiple clients or businesses is strongly preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
- Ability to identify discrepancies and independently research solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Professional, dependable, and proactive approach to client service
