Activities Director

Overview We’re a skilled nursing facility looking for dynamic associates to join our team and provide our guests with a care experience that will change their lives. We are looking for an Activities Director. Responsibilities Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the activity programs of this facility. Interact with residents, personnel, visitors, and government agencies in all conditions. Review department policies and procedures (at least manually) and participate in making recommended changes. Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the services and needs of the resident and family. Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments. Interview resident/families as necessary and in a private setting. Assist in arranging transportation to other facilities when necessary. Provide information about Medicare/Medicaid eligibility and other financial assistance programs available to the resident, as necessary. Assume the authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the activity department. Maintain a productive working relationship with medical professionals and other health‑related facilities and organizations. Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary. Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator concerning the operation of the activity department. Assist and coordinate family visits. Qualifications Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent. Must have, as a minimum, 6 months of experience. Employment Details Full‑time position. Shift: Days.
