Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Active compact license required Certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required 2 years of experience required Experience with high-risk deliveries Description: Reduced Non-Billable Orientation. Local candidates are welcome. Candidates from other facilities are eligible for a travel contract if separated for at least 3 months. All facilities honor active compact licenses. Candidates must have experience in labor and delivery. Required competencies include administration of blood and blood products, anticoagulation therapy, and antihypertensives. Candidates should assist with high-risk deliveries and circulate for C-sections. Experience in the following procedures is required: blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/a defibrillation, and administration of magnesium sulfate. Attends all deliveries and high-risk deliveries. Experience with GYN surgeries, couplet care, low-risk antepartum, and transition nursery is necessary. Staffing ratio is 1:1-3. Floating to post-partum and NICU is based on skill set. References covering 1 year are required. Modules are non-billable and must be completed pre-start and annually. Time spent on modules is self-reported.
