Job Title: Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) Location: Stafford, VA 22554 Schedule: Full‑time, school‑based opportunity Employment Type: Contract Position Overview Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in a school‑based setting in Stafford, Virginia. This opportunity is ideal for an SLP who is passionate about helping students improve their communication skills, collaborating with educational teams, and providing individualized services that support academic and personal success. The Speech‑Language Pathologist will assess, treat, and manage a caseload of students with speech and language disorders while developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and providing evidence‑based therapy services. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and assessments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals. Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students. Support students with articulation, expressive/receptive language, fluency, voice, social communication, and other communication needs. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation, reports, and service records. Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary planning sessions. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, families, and related service providers. Select and implement appropriate assessment tools and evidence‑based intervention strategies. Provide recommendations for communication supports and accommodations. Maintain compliance with school, state, and federal requirements. Qualifications Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program required. Active Virginia Speech‑Language Pathologist license required (or ability to obtain). ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred. School‑based or pediatric experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Work Environment School‑based setting supporting students with diverse communication needs.
