At General Mills, the Treasury team creates shareholder value by optimizing GMI’s capital structure while flawlessly executing its fiduciary responsibilities. This includes efficiently managing cash flows, managing interest rate and foreign exchange risk, and protecting GMI’s financial assets. Treasury roles are highly technical and build strong knowledge of financial markets and cash management.The Senior Treasury Analyst plays a key role supporting the function by securing capital to fund business operations, executing on cash management activities, handling bank relationships and monitoring financial risks for the North America region. This role also supports strategic corporate projects and partners with our treasury centers across the globe.In this role, you will gain extensive experience in treasury operations and broad exposure to external banking partners and financial markets. This role builds functional experience in forecasting cash flows, issuing debt, managing derivatives, and supporting critical corporate initiatives such as M&A.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESManage the daily funding of bank accounts, including issuing Commercial Paper and investing excess cash to maximize returns while maintaining liquidityBuild and maintain a long-term cash forecasts with inputs from various sourcesRemediate failed payments and fraud attemptsOwn the compliance and testing of SOX controls related to debt covenants, banking websites and cash movementIndependently lead initiatives in a fast-paced environmentContribute to Treasury optimization through process improvements and automationLiaise with banks for operational services, including administrative oversight of bank accountsPartner with international treasury teams and domestic business partners to execute on high-profile initiatives, including bond offerings, share repurchases, legal restructuring, system upgrades, and M&A activityMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSB.S. or B.A. degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fieldMinimum 3 years of relevant finance or operations experienceBasic understanding of cash management, banking, debt instruments and derivativesStrong analytical skills, including a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to summarize complex concepts and build management-level reportingExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenExhibited a high degree of situational agility and change managementAbility to independently manage multiple projects and prioritize effectivelyPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSTreasury operations, cash management or cash forecasting experienceSAP experienceCTP or CFAADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONSLocated at World Headquarters just outside Minneapolis, MNInternational relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
