Position Overview

As the Vice President of Operations , you will provide leadership and oversight for all operational functions, ensuring efficiency, consistency, profitability, and customer satisfaction across the organization.

You will partner closely with executive leadership to develop and execute strategies that strengthen performance, improve processes, support expansion initiatives, and create a culture focused on accountability, safety, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities of a Vice President of Operations:Executive Leadership

Fleet, Safety & Compliance

• Oversee fleet utilization, operational readiness, and asset management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead risk management and safety initiatives across the organization.
• Support maintenance, safety, and operational teams in achieving performance goals.
• Maintain readiness for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve productivity.
• Implement process improvements that support scalability and long-term growth.
• Leverage data and analytics to drive informed decision-making.
• Lead change management initiatives and organizational transformation efforts.
• Present operational results and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Qualifications of a Vice President of Operations:Required

• 7+ years of senior-level leadership experience in operations, transportation, logistics, fleet management, or a related industry.
• Proven experience leading large-scale operations and multi-department teams.
• Strong background in strategic planning, operational management, and organizational leadership.
• Experience managing budgets, financial performance, and growth initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to implement operational improvements and achieve measurable results.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Preferred

• Executive leadership experience within transportation, mobility, logistics, or service-based organizations.
• Experience overseeing multi-site operations.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
