Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area looking for a Vice President, Finance – Business Partnership . This is a highly visible finance leadership opportunity for an experienced strategic finance executive who excels at partnering with senior business leaders to drive better decisions. This individual will lead a team of finance business partners, influence investment and resource allocation decisions, and help establish the financial frameworks, discipline, and accountability needed to support continued growth across the business.

The Vice President, Finance - Business Partnership will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

\n

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior Finance Business Partners, driving accountability, collaboration, and strong executive-level business partnership.
\n
• Serve as a trusted strategic finance partner to senior business leaders, providing financial insight and guidance on growth, investment priorities, and operating performance.
\n
• Establish and enhance financial decision-making frameworks, governance, and processes to drive greater discipline around investment prioritization, resource allocation, and ROI.
\n
• Elevate the Finance Business Partnership function from traditional financial support to a proactive, strategic partner in business decisions.
\n
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate growth opportunities, pricing strategies, strategic investments, and initiatives that drive profitability and long-term value.
\n
• Lead strategic planning, forecasting, and long-range financial analysis, ensuring alignment between financial priorities and business objectives.
\n
• Translate complex financial and operational information into actionable insights, recommendations, and decision support for senior leadership.
\n
• Bring structure and accountability to strategic decisions, helping leaders evaluate competing priorities, challenge assumptions, and measure outcomes.
\n
• Build strong cross-functional relationships and influence decisions across business units, Technology, Operations, and Finance.
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve financial performance, strengthen processes, and drive greater consistency in financial decision-making across the organization.

The Vice President, Finance – Business Partnership will possess the following:

\n

\n

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
\n
• 20+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant senior-level leadership experience in FP&A, operational finance, and strategic business partnership.
\n
• Proven experience leading and developing senior finance professionals, ideally including 5–10 years in VP-level or comparable leadership roles with oversight of Director-level leaders.
\n
• Demonstrated experience building financial decision-making frameworks, governance, and processes to evaluate, prioritize, and measure strategic investments and resource allocation.
\n
• Strong background in FP&A, strategic planning, business case development, investment analysis, and financial decision support.
\n
• Experience partnering with senior executives and business leaders to influence strategy, improve performance, and drive financial and operational decisions.
\n
• Strong organizational agility with the ability to navigate complex environments, build alignment across stakeholders, and influence decisions without direct authority.
\n
• Excellent executive presence, communication, and business acumen with the ability to simplify complex information, challenge assumptions, and build credibility with senior leadership.
\n
• Technology finance experience preferred, particularly supporting technology investments, ROI, and strategic resource allocation.
\n
• Collaborative, curious, and commercially minded leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys building structure, driving change, and improving how organizations make decisions.
