Veterinary Extern - General Practice

Internship Overview An externship experience at an NVA hospital provides students with the opportunity to understand everyday operations of the practice and gain hands‑on clinical experience in a supportive environment. Responsibilities Gather patient histories, perform physical exams, and assist in creating treatment plans. Conduct diagnostic procedures, assist in dentistry services, observe or perform surgical procedures, and manage medical care of patients. Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients. Eligibility & Stipend All veterinary students, irrespective of class year, are encouraged to participate.
