Southwest Broker Engagement Lead - Growth & Partnerships

Job Title Manager, Broker Engagement — Southwest Region Job Objectives To help develop and implement Allied World's Southwest Region Broker Engagement strategic plans across all lines of business in the organization. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for all elements of distribution management, for all product lines in the Southwest Region Obtain a broad knowledge and be able to speak authoritatively about all of AW NA product lines From a high level, this will include being able to effectively illustrate AW product/Company differentiation, key competitor strengths and weaknesses, current market or industry segment issues and comprehensive understanding of AW distribution relationships Work closely with Southwest Regional Executive and Broker Engagement Leader to assess regional BE needs, develop specific product line strategies including help with targeting specific accounts, prioritize resources and execute business development plans Manage overall broker performance for brokers in assigned geographic territories to achieve stated growth objectives in the Region and determine which brokers need specific growth plans Identify new production and/or product opportunities by conducting in-depth portfolio surveys of existing/potential distribution partners Enhance AW market share by identifying and qualifying new distributors. Act as our distribution partner's advocate. Be viewed as a valuable and indispensable distribution resource for our product leads Expand AW's visibility and brand in the market via participation at strategic conferences Gather competitive intelligence and distribute to relevant business units Assist in developing and managing robust reports that track stated BE metrics to illustrate impact and make appropriate adjustments as needed Compensation The annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market. The actual base pay for the position may be above or below the listed range and determined by a number of considerations, including but not limited to complexity, location, and scope of the role, along with experience, skills, education, training, and other conditions of employment. Base salary represents one component of Allied World’s comprehensive total reward package, which may also include annual incentive compensation rewards. Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000 Requirements Bachelor's degree required A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant underwriting and/or Business Development experience Self starter, strong organizational skills and ability to function independently with minimal daily oversight Excellent negotiation, influencing and sales/marketing skills, strong written & verbal communication skills Must be able to simultaneously manage multiple priorities Must possess a network of distribution relationships in the Region About Our Business Allied World Assurance Company Holdings, Ltd, through its subsidiaries, is a global provider of insurance and reinsurance solutions.
