Production Line TechnicianJW Nutritional LLC Corporate Office - Allen, TX 75013OverviewSalary Range $15.00 HourlyDescriptionProduction Line TechnicianPurpose and Scope:In this role you will be required to work various positions on multiple lines with dietary supplement products.Safety Expectations:Responsible for performing all job requirements in a safe manner and being a proactive safety role model with co-workers.Responsible for correcting/reporting unsafe behaviors or equipment to ensure a safe working environment.Responsible for cleanliness within the work department.Quality/Safety Expectations:Follow all Food safety practices and processes applicable to the department.Perform/execute job duties keeping the company’s commitment to quality in mind.Responsibilities:Read, write, and comprehend EnglishLearn multiple positions within the departmentComplete all applicable documentation used to define the set-up, operation, and clean-up of the packaging lines.Perform and/or assist with machine set-up for all packaging lines. Cross train with the set-up position.Detect quality issues and bring to the attention of Lead/Supervisor.Relieve packaging operators at all positions on the line to support breaks and lunches.GMP compliance and help correct GMP issues.Promote quality awareness and help correct quality issues.Responsible for achieving established performance standards in a quality and safe environment.Learn and follow documented policies, procedures, and work procedures.Cross train and rotate to all positions within each line.Interact and function effectively in a high performance team environment.Support continuous improvement and elimination of waste and variation in processes using established improvement processes.Must develop cooperative relationships with other departmentsReports To: Production Line LeadQualificationsEducation and Experience:1-2 years related experience in a progressive manufacturing setting.Knowledge of dietary supplements GMPs a plusHigh school diploma or GED.Attributes:Self-motivated.Demonstrated ability to work and cross train in a team environment.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere.Demonstrated confidentialityAttention to detail.Strong verbal and written communication skills to train and coach team members.Flexibility in work schedule (weekends as applicable).Demonstrated ability for detail oriented work.Sensitive to other cultures/backgrounds, able to work in a multicultural workplace.Ability and willingness to learn, understand, and follow documented work proceduresDemonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced environment while moving multiple simultaneous projects forwardPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the plant is moderate to loud. There will be exposure to machine noise and raw ingredients dust when in the plant. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and with or around various chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration and risk of electric shock. Production environment includes varying temperatures (heat, cold and moisture).
