As an Insurance Verification Clerk, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth office operations. Advanced Regional Surgery Center is an accredited facility recognized by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Responsibilities Validate and enter patient information and insurance coverage into the computer system. Communicate with physician offices, insurance carriers, and follow up with patients. Verify insurance coverage for each patient and coordinate referrals when necessary. Handle payments for services not covered by insurance and update patient records. Explain coverages and payment responsibilities to patients. Fill out documentation required for billing. Assist with insurance verification for outpatient procedures. Schedule Weekdays only – no holidays or weekends. Some later evenings required. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Previous billing experience preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology. Verifying insurance coverage of each patient. Handling payments for services not covered by insurance. Explaining coverages to patients. Obtaining referrals for patients when they are not covered.
