Prepare and position patients, ensuring quality imaging and patient comfort. Collaborate with cardiologists to assist in diagnostic interpretation. Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment. May be asked to float to other locations. Average of 7 to 9 studies performed per day. Utilize EMR for charting. Department specific equipment includes Siemens Accu SC 2000. Cardiologist is on-site. RNs perform IVs; preference for candidates who can start IVs. Scrubs should be clean and professional in any color. Department-specific orientation consists of computer-based training and hands-on time with a preceptor.
