Job DescriptionThe Landscape Technician has the responsibility to participate in an efficient and comprehensive landscape maintenance program. This includes having the responsibility for routine landscape maintenance, light building maintenance/carpentry repairs, and light cleaning. The primary focus of this role will be to maintain grass, trees, shrubbery, and ground surface covers.In this role you will respond to colleague and business requested work orders and have a routine schedule of work orders to complete.Primary responsibilities include:Work with the landscaping team in daily tasks. Assist as needed for scheduled/unscheduled absences. Help with equipment maintenance and repairs. Assist Landscape Manager and Landscape Tech Lead with coordination of deliveries.Follow proper training and best practices in equipment use, maintenance and daily tasks. Work day-to-day grounds keeping operations of multiple retail banking and main office facilities.Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance duties as required. Assist in mowing lawns either by hand or using a riding lawnmower when needed to expedite work orders or cover for colleagues on PTO. Recommend specific plants, trees, grass, or other landscape features dependent on local site conditions and established Citizens standards.Landscape by planting, trimming, and maintaining flower beds, grass, shrubs, bushes, and small trees. Shovel snow from walkways and apply anti-skid as needed; Clean parking lots, sidewalks, and all exterior areas while performing routine grounds keeping.Perform spring and fall cleanups to remove excess debris, leaves, and trim landscaping. Install new hardscaping, river rock, fencing, signage, and other furnishings as required. Pressure wash building exterior and refresh parking lot painting as needed. Clean gutters and roof drains of debris.Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping. Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained and utilized in a safe manner consistent with established standards.Close out work orders upon completion via iPad or Computerized Maintenance Management System. Respond to emergency and non-emergency service requests and prioritize work order response. Communicate in a pleasant and professional manner with internal and external customers.Minimum Qualifications:1 or more years of experience in landscape maintenance required including zero turn mowersAbility to travel using a company sanctioned vehicle (ex: box truck/pickup truck) as requiredDemonstrated experience to successfully complete multiple tasks independently in an accurate and timely manner in a fast-paced environmentAbility to plan & prioritize daily responsibilities with strong attention to detailDemonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills along with proven positive customer service experienceIntermediate or higher-level expertise using iPad, smart phones, computer/laptops, & MS Office applications including MS Excel, Word, OutlookAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. without any accommodation or assistance and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions at varying heights (ladders, roof top, etc.) as requiredPreferred Qualifications:Demonstrated job stabilityPrior commercial landscape work experienceEducation, Licensures, & Certifications:High School Diploma or Equivalent requiredValid active State Driver's License requiredOSHA or Landscape related certifications preferredHours & Work Schedule:Hours per Week: 40 hrs./weekWork Schedule: M-F 7:00am - 4:00 pm ET and may include occasional voluntary OT evenings or weekendsLocation:Hubbed out of: New Bedford MATerritory includes: Fall River, MA; New Bedford, MA, Dartmouth, MA and 5 branches on Cape Cod, MAPay Transparency The salary range for this position is $24 - $27per hour.
