CNC Mill Machinist

We're looking for an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to join a skilled manufacturing team on the 2nd shift. This is a great opportunity for an experienced machinist who enjoys hands-on work, precision machining.

The ideal candidate will have strong CNC milling and turning experience, the ability to set up machines from drawings and work instructions, and a solid understanding of precision measurement and machining processes.

What You'll Do

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning centers
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Retrieve job routings, tool lists, drawings, and other job-related information
• Select appropriate cutting tools and work-holding methods
• Install, align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces
• Monitor machine feeds and speeds
• Perform accurate measurements and inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments
• Manufacture parts to tight tolerances and quality specifications
• Document production quantities and processes in an ERP system
• Deburr and inspect completed parts
• Set up low-complexity, unproven parts and medium-to-high complexity proven parts
• Assist with developing machining methods and tooling for complex parts
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

What We're Looking For

• 5–6 years of relevant machining experience
• High school diploma/GED plus advanced technical training
• Strong CNC milling and turning experience
• Excellent blueprint reading and mathematical skills
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills and ERP experience
• Knowledge of customer specifications and quality requirements
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
