Phlebotomist

Join Pride Health as a Phlebotomist II at Clifton Park, NY! This is a 13 weeks contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment. Location: Clifton Park, NY 12065 Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM Every Other Saturday: 7:00 AM – 12:30 PM Hours per Week: 40 hours Start Date: ASAP Pay Highlights: $19-22/hour (Based on years of experience & education) Key Responsibilities: Perform venipuncture and specimen collection using straight and butterfly needles. Collect blood, urine, fecal, and other specimens following established procedures. Properly identify, label, centrifuge, split, freeze, and prepare specimens for transport. Verify laboratory requisitions and patient information for accuracy. Update patient demographics and laboratory records. Record maintenance and decontamination data. Package specimens while maintaining required storage temperatures and specimen integrity. Explain specimen collection procedures clearly and professionally to patients. Answer telephone inquiries and communicate laboratory results when appropriate. Comply with OSHA, DEP, and laboratory safety regulations. Attend required annual department training. Assist with workflow improvements, troubleshooting, and training as needed. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of phlebotomy experience preferred. Experience with: Pediatric collections Geriatric collections Note: Local candidates within 25-30 miles are eligible. *Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
