Make a real impact in students’ lives with this rewarding contract opportunity for a Physical Therapist in an educational setting near Eden, NY. This full-time, two-month leave coverage involves working with a diverse K-12 caseload, supporting students’ growth and mobility needs within school environments. The schedule runs from 7:30 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist license and credentials required
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and therapy documentation
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with students, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt therapy interventions to various age groups and functional levels

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct PT services to students across K-12 according to IEP goals
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document student progress
• Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other school staff
• Participate in IEP meetings as needed, sharing input on student mobility and access
• Offer consultation and recommendations for classroom accommodations and modifications
• Educate staff and caregivers on best practices for supporting students’ physical needs
