Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with school-aged students, helping them access life-changing therapies and reach their fullest potential. This two-month leave coverage offers a full-time Monday to Friday schedule (7:30 am–3:15 pm) and focuses on serving a diverse K-12 caseload. You'll collaborate with educators and families to advance student development and enhance the quality of life for those with varying physical needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Prior experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Ability to work with students ranging from kindergarten through high school
- Knowledge of IEP processes and school-based therapy documentation
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, evidence-based physical therapy interventions for K-12 students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Develop tailored treatment plans and adapt strategies to each student's goals and needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and family members to support student progress
- Maintain detailed records of student performance and therapy sessions
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and consultations to review progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
