Trainee Laboratory Technician

Job Title

Pay Range: $19.00hr - $25.00hr

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory testing of fluids used in downhole operations.
• Follow laboratory procedures and testing protocols.
• Record and maintain accurate testing data.
• Utilize computer systems and software for data entry and reporting.
• Support multiple laboratory activities while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
• Work safely and comply with all laboratory and company procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
• Perform quality assurance tests on products.
• Prepare laboratory reports prior to service delivery at the wellsite.
• Provide advanced technical support during additive selection and fluid design.
• Maintain contact with support labs and operating locations.
• Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
• Develop competency required to perform advanced additive selection and fluid design.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is in clean, working condition and waste is regularly disposed.
• Prepare technical presentations for internal and external customers.
• Perform regular audits to ensure the laboratory operates according to required standards.
• Assist Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions with technical support as required.
• Perform risk analysis before each task or job to identify and mitigate potential safety or quality concerns.
• Participate in Service Quality Meetings with customers and improve performance using action plans.
• Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives.
• Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
