Part-time Faculty, Spanish

Position Information Position Title: Part-time Faculty, Spanish Department: World Languages Department Primary Location: N/A Hours per week: Part-time faculty members are not to exceed a load of 67%. Work Schedule: Day, evening, and/or weekend work; assignments may be at San Marcos campus, off‑campus locations, or distance education classes. Hourly Rate: $75.81 – $119.20 (instructional); $74.60 – $117.69 (non‑instructional) Job Duties The World Languages department is seeking qualified part‑time instructors to teach Spanish. Teaching assignments may include any of the curriculum‑approved courses within the discipline of Spanish. Minimum Qualifications A master’s degree in the language being taught. A bachelor’s degree in Spanish AND a master’s in another language or linguistics. A combination of education and experience that is at least equivalent to the qualifications in 1) or 2). Must complete and attach the Application for Equivalency form ( This includes degrees that have not yet been awarded at the time of application. Only coursework completed at, and degrees awarded by, accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education will be considered. Coursework and degrees completed outside the United States must have transcripts evaluated by an accepted U.S. credentials evaluation service (e.g., NACES or AICE).
