Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides specialized wound, ostomy, and continence care consultation to patients and staff, ensuring best practices in skin integrity and patient comfort. Serves as a clinical resource to promote prevention and effective management of wounds and associated conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' skin, wounds, ostomies, and continence needs to develop individualized care plans.
  
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to implement and adjust treatment strategies.
  
• Educate patients and families on wound care, ostomy management, and prevention techniques.
  
• Support staff by providing guidance on wound management protocols and best practices.
  
• Document clinical assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly.
  
• Maintain current knowledge of wound care advancements and adhere to industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania.
  
• Possess board certification in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing.
  
• Have a minimum of three years of professional nursing experience with medical-surgical patients.
  
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
