Floor Technicians play a crucial role within maintenance teams, servicing primarily industrial facilities. They are responsible for maintaining floor surfaces through standard cleaning as well as specialized restorative work. Their expertise includes operating equipment for waxing, polishing, buffing, and surface preparation while ensuring safety compliance and detailed maintenance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor cleaning, waxing, polishing, and buffing tasks
• Prepare surfaces for treatment through stripping and related processes
• Operate buffing machines and other floor maintenance equipment safely
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during all operations
• Inspect floor conditions regularly and report maintenance needs
• Handle materials and equipment efficiently and safely
• Collaborate effectively within the maintenance team

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in floor maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Proficient in floor stripping and waxing techniques
• Experienced in operating buffing machines
• Skilled in surface preparation methods
• Strong adherence to safety compliance
• Excellent time management and attention to detail
• Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks
