The Neuro Step-Down Unit at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center cares for patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury, and post-operative neurosurgical needs. This unit supports patients through recovery and progression of care while allowing Nurse Residents to develop a strong foundation in neurological nursing. As a Nurse Resident, you will administer patient care within an inpatient/observation hospital setting, where patients receive active treatment for injuries, illnesses, medical conditions, or post-intervention care, including ongoing assessment. You will receive a structured orientation, hands-on training, and consistent mentorship from experienced nurses. This role provides experience in focused neurological assessments, patient and family education, teamwork, and care coordination within a collaborative and encouraging environment. This position is intended for licensed Registered Nurses with less than one year of experience and is ideal for new graduate nurses who are eager to learn, grow, and build a solid career path in neuroscience nursing.
