Registered Nurse/Every Other Weekend RN Supervisor

RN Supervisor, Part Time 3pm-11pm Weekends Only

Westminster Winter Park, an Active Living Community in Winter Park has an open position for a RN Supervisor, Part Time 3pm-11pm Weekends Only. We are a church related not-for-profit community service organization dedicated and committed to providing services for older adults and persons with special needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising all floor nurses and staff members, ensuring care is provided based on established standards, providing conflict resolution to issues between staff members, and replacing nurses that call-off or are no-call/no-show.
• Assisting the ADON/DON with calculating daily staffing needs based on census requirements.
• Reviewing doctor's orders for new and current residents; ensuring that care is being provided based on current orders.
• Overseeing and assisting nurses performing resident assessments.
• Coordinating care through communication with resident's family members, physicians, and other health care providers.
• Managing family concerns with resident's care.
• Updating ADON/DON on important situations related to the residents or the Health Center.
• Entering admission orders in ECS for new residents to the Health Center.
• Assisting nurses with managing emergencies in the Health Center or independent living.
• Requesting supplies for the unit from the Central Supply.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Must be currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse.
2. A minimum of one year as a supervisor is required.
3. Must be CPR Certified.
4. One year of long term care desirable. Med-surg, Home Health, Emergency Room experience helpful. Also experience working with developmentally disabled adults.
