About the Role: The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, order, and a welcoming environment within residential or commercial settings. This position ensures that all assigned areas are cleaned thoroughly and efficiently, contributing to the overall comfort and satisfaction of occupants or guests. The Housekeeper is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including floor care, dusting, and waste disposal, while adhering to safety and hygiene standards. Attention to detail and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions are essential to successfully complete daily assignments. Ultimately, the Housekeeper supports the smooth operation of the facility by creating a clean, safe, and pleasant atmosphere. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to speak, read, and write English to understand and follow instructions. Demonstrated manual dexterity and physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including reaching overhead and floor care. Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic mathematical skills to perform measurements and inventory management. Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar cleaning role is preferred but not mandatory. Preferred Qualifications: Certification or training in cleaning techniques or safety procedures. Experience working in hospitality, healthcare, or commercial cleaning environments. Knowledge of environmentally friendly cleaning products and practices. Ability to operate specialized cleaning equipment such as floor polishers or carpet cleaners. Strong organizational skills to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively. Responsibilities: Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces. Maintain floor care by using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment to ensure floors are clean and safe. Follow detailed oral and written instructions to complete cleaning schedules and special requests. Handle cleaning supplies and equipment with manual dexterity and care to avoid damage or injury. Reach overhead and other difficult areas to clean thoroughly, ensuring no spots are missed. Dispose of waste and recyclables properly according to facility guidelines. Perform basic mathematical computations to measure cleaning solutions or inventory supplies as needed. Communicate effective in English to understand instructions and report any issues or supply needs. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Skills: The required skills are essential for performing daily housekeeping duties efficiently and safely. Speaking, reading, and writing English enable clear communication and comprehension of instructions and safety protocols.
