Leadership is flexible, supportive, and committed to fostering a positive employee experience, complemented by a highly competitive benefits package.The Opportunity: Reporting to accounting leadership, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, deferred revenue accounting, reconciliations, payables, sales tax compliance, and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking broad exposure and visibility within a stable and growing organization.The Senior Accountant’s ResponsibilitiesPerform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis.Prepare and post journal entries and support the month-end close process.Own deferred revenue accounting, including schedule maintenance, reconciliations, and monthly revenue recognition.Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records.Reconcile bank accounts, cash activity, and vendor statements.Process accounts payable transactions, vendor setup, and weekly payments via check, ACH, wire, and other payment methods.Reconcile credit card activity, prepayments, and other cash transactions.Ensure compliance with multi-state sales and use tax requirements.Assist with annual audits and the preparation of supporting schedules.Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of progressive accounting experience.Strong understanding of accrual accounting, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.Experience with deferred revenue accounting and account reconciliations.ERP experience required; NetSuite experience highly preferred.Experience with Avalara and multi-state sales tax compliance preferred.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Inventory accounting experience preferred but not required.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
