Position Summary The Assistant Store Manager produces sales gains, delivers outstanding customer service, meets or exceeds company objectives, conducts consistent performance appraisals, adheres to visual guidelines, and maintains a professional appearance. Responsibilities Generate Sales Produce sales gains by providing customer service. Meet or exceed company objectives in individual sales statistics. Offer documented appraisal of associates' sales performance and give feedback for improvement. Adhere to visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness. Maintain a professional appearance in line with dress code policy. Control Expenses Protect company assets following LIDS Retail policies. Assist in preparing store schedules with proper coverage within wage control guidelines. Follow policies to manage store inventory accurately: receiving, transferring, price changes, and product counts. Perform documentation and record‑keeping per LIDS Retail policies and state/federal laws. Open and close the store according to the Operations P&P Manual. Support and adhere to all LIDS policies, procedures, and guidelines. Supervise Associates Participate in LIDS Training Programs, adhere to set goals, and conduct regular follow‑ups. Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on store operations and procedures. Encourage associates to comply with company policies, including safekeeping of inventory, funds, and property. Perform subordinates' work as needed. Communicate with employees at all company levels. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of related experience. Proven ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate verbally in a clear, professional manner. Computer skills, including use of standard software programs. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb a ladder and work with hands overhead.
