About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: 2 years nursing experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Strong Intermediate Care Nurse background - Experience with high acuity patients - Previous travel assignments Description: The position involves caring for adults in an intermediate care setting. The nurse will be responsible for managing medical cardiac patients. Continuous vital sign monitoring and some advanced monitoring are essential. Ventilator and tracheostomy experience are required. Nurses will manage arterial lines and titration of certain medications, including nitroglycerin, insulin, and heparin. Understanding of provider-managed pressors and inotropes is necessary. The patient ratio is 1:3 for intermediate care around the clock. During the day shift, the ratio is 1:4 for telemetry, and during the night shift, it is 1:5 for telemetry. Critical care certification and trauma courses are preferred. Experience with EPIC software and ACLS certification is also preferred.
