Workflow Automation Specialist Location: US-SC-Greenville Position ID: 2026-1265 Position Type: Full-Time Location Type: Hybrid Pay Range: USD $160,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr. Overview Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated Workflow Automation Specialist to support ongoing operations in Greenville, SC. The position involves systems analysis, design, development, documentation, testing, or modification of workflow systems or programs. It requires discretion and judgment, and may involve collaborating with customers, vendors, industry consultants, and company management to drive results. The role supports workflow-related IT projects and may guide and share knowledge with other IT staff. Responsibilities Assess requests related to workflows. Produce and ingest accurate diagrams and requirement documentation related to workflow requests and communicate needs back to the customer or requestor. Develop, configure, enhance, and support business workflows within change management processes. Work closely with team members and stakeholders to understand project requirements and align software solutions with organizational goals. Assist in workflow development software projects, including design, testing, and deployment, under senior guidance. Maintain a customer-focused approach, ensuring solutions meet end-user requirements. Contribute to the development and coding of enterprise-level software applications. Participate in cross-functional team discussions to optimize end-to-end solutions. Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages, frameworks, and tools relevant to enterprise application development. Communicate updates on project progress, escalating complex problems as needed. Maintain documentation related to software development, coding standards, procedures, and user manuals. Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices. Contribute ideas for process improvements and innovative solutions. Engage in training programs and collaborative knowledge-sharing activities. Promote, encourage, and model diversity, equity, and inclusion principles. Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and regulations such as data privacy and cybersecurity standards. Understand IT practices, guide strategy, and align with core strategies. Assist in guiding customer requests for new solutions or changes. Document requirements and obtain customer approval for development. Collaborate with application owners for IT-driven changes. Support adherence to IT strategy and methodologies. Oversee scope, schedule, and interfaces with IT teams. Review project objectives and propose cost-effective alternatives. Analyze complex processes, identify improvement areas, and recommend solutions. Define, analyze, develop, and document new systems and programs to meet business needs. Manage multiple applications in a single functional area. Execute project tasks with high quality standards. Coordinate software and hardware installation, deployment, and upgrades. Apply knowledge of IT best practices and adapt as needed. Assist in special project-related issues as required. Education Requirements Accredited four (4)-year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and five (5) years of work-related experience. A combination of education and directly related experience equal to nine (9) years if non-degreed. Some locations may have additional or different qualifications to comply with local requirements. Qualifications Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Must pass pre-employment screening including drug and breath alcohol test, and Motor Vehicle Record check. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years is preferred. Previous DOE/NNSA work experience. Engineering, procurement, construction experience preferred. Experience in development and deployment of complex workflows for large projects. Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors. Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job. Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state, province, and federal statutes and guidelines. Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious, time-effective manner.
