Maintenance Worker

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of building maintenance, facility maintenance, repair, and grounds maintenance tasks to ensure assigned facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. This position is ideal for a dependable, hands-on professional with experience in school maintenance, hotel maintenance, property maintenance, commercial building maintenance, or facilities maintenance. This role offers a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. One day may involve replacing ceiling tiles, painting, or repairing building fixtures, while another may include preventative maintenance, inspections, or seasonal snow removal. The Maintenance Worker may work independently or as part of a team to support daily facility operations.

Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $25.36. Job Responsibilities:

• Perform general building and facility maintenance duties
• Repair and maintain doors, windows, ceiling tiles, hardware, minor appliances, and office equipment
• Complete painting, touch-up work, and minor repairs as needed
• Conduct routine facility inspections and address maintenance concerns
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists
• Report major maintenance needs and recommend corrective actions
• Assist with grounds maintenance and snow removal, including overtime during weather-related events when necessary
• Safely operate maintenance tools and equipment
• Maintain a friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude with clients, customers, and coworkers
• Adhere to all Aramark safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Required: Previous maintenance, facilities, property maintenance, building maintenance, or general repair experience. Ability to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks with minimal supervision. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to follow safety procedures and practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: Experience working in a school, hotel, healthcare facility, commercial building, manufacturing environment, or similar setting. Snow removal experience. Experience with preventative maintenance programs.

Schedule: Primarily first-shift hours. Flexibility to work overtime as needed, particularly during snow removal and weather-related events. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required based on business needs.

Physical Requirements: This role may require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials or equipment. Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching. Working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Wearing required uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE).
