Senior Accountant

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple business entities. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working independently, managing multiple priorities, and providing accurate, timely financial information to support business operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform bookkeeping and accounting for multiple companies. Process payroll and ensure timely and accurate payroll tax compliance. Manage accounts payable, including bill processing, vendor management, and payment scheduling. Prepare and reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts. Record and reconcile intercompany transactions, including Due To/Due From accounts. Coordinate cash transfers between related entities while maintaining accurate accounting records. Monitor daily cash balances and prepare cash flow forecasts to support business planning. Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation. Protect the confidentiality of financial and business information. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Technical Accounting Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and full-cycle accounting. Experience with payroll processing and payroll tax compliance. Solid understanding of accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Experience managing inter-company accounting and multi-entity financial transactions. Ability to monitor and forecast cash flow across multiple businesses. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. Technology Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop. Experience with Bill.com or similar accounts payable automation software. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Organization & Communication Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment. Independence & Accountability Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. Demonstrates initiative, ownership, and accountability for assigned work. Thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple companies with changing priorities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred. Five (5) or more years of accounting experience, preferably supporting multiple entities or closely held businesses. Public accounting experience is a plus. Demonstrate effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to exercise judgment, logic, and initiative. Possess strong written/oral communication, organizational, and planning skills. Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretionary judgment.
