Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities Technician

We are seeking mental health/developmental disabilities technicians (mhddt) to join our team at va medical center in topeka, kansas in a full-time capacity or locum tenens.

minimum qualifications:

• high school diploma
• valid driver's license
• basic life support (bls) certification
• must be able to lift at least 40 pounds repetitively and requires physical strength to frequently bend, stoop, walk, push, pull, twist, squat, and lift patients with assistance

responsibilities:

• provide direct, basic care and supervision to patients and residents at state hospital
• perform location checks, both observing and monitoring
• perform environmental cleaning tasks
