Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

$1787.04/week - Job Summary: Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients in the med/surg unit, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses. Perform complex procedures such as telemetry monitoring, port access, and wound care. Interpret EKGs and manage CPAP therapy for patients with respiratory needs. Assess and document patient status using Meditech Expanse system. Coordinate with healthcare team to develop and update patient care plans. Float to other units as needed to provide additional support and resources. Qualifications: Hold an active nursing license in good standing, with a valid compact license if applicable. Possess at least two years of recent med/surg nursing experience. Demonstrate proficiency in telemetry, EKG interpretation, and CPAP management. Have current BLS certification; ACLS and NIH certification preferred. Possess strong assessment skills for post-dialysis, chest tubes, NG tubes, and drains. Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
