Job Description
The Restaurant Line Cook plays a crucial role in the kitchen, working within a small team of 2-4 cooks to prepare and cook menu items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This position requires strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail to ensure each dish meets the restaurant’s standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Set up and organize cooking stations for efficient workflow
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving
- Maintain inventory of stock and supplies, reporting shortages
- Ensure sanitation and cleanliness of work area and equipment
- Verify order accuracy with tickets and coordinate with other kitchen staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in culinary arts and food preparation
- Proficient knife skills and knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work well in a small team environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
