Senior Project Manager - ADMS

Overview Working closely with the end customer, vendors, and project personnel, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper implementation and delivery of an Advanced Distribution Management System within our client’s territory. You will have responsibility for all aspects of the project over the entire project lifecycle, including assembling and managing delivery teams, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources, setting up and managing vendor and subcontractor engagements, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of the project. In addition, you must exercise and demonstrate judgement, leadership, organization, and communication skills. The Sr. Project Manager will be an essential part of our team to grow the consulting practice in the Operational Technology and Real‑Time Systems domain. Responsibilities Deliver projects to completion, owning the scope, cost, schedule, and risks. Develop contractual Statements of Work with client and suppliers, articulating assumptions and limits of responsibilities. Strategize and implement methodology to increase project margins. Assign work, monitor, and measure the team’s outputs, escalating resource gaps or shortages. Act as TRC’s representative, ensuring client and TRC interests are well aligned. Manage vendors, ensuring contractual, operational, and relationship aspects are aligned. Champion a positive project work environment and lead the team to accomplish objectives on time and on budget. Develop workflow plans to manage the project from initial request through analysis, design, implementation, procurement, testing, turnover to production, and client migration. Plan, prepare, and track project schedules and budgets to assure controlled completion of each project step. Prepare and maintain a risk assessment and mitigation action plan. Maintain resource forecasts to assure schedule compliance and desired results. Update internal and external stakeholders on project progress, changes, and emerging risks. Lead core team meetings and present project progress at Steering Committee level with senior executives from TRC or the client. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience in the utility domain. Previous experience leading and managing large‑scale, multifaceted enterprise‑wide Operational Technology projects in an electric or gas utility environment. Full knowledge and proficiency in all aspects of the Project Management Body of Knowledge. Excellent organizational, decision‑making, and presentation skills. Excellent communication skills ranging from C‑Level to multiple technical teams. Ability to self‑direct and work independently as well as in a team environment. Excellent team‑building and motivational skills. Excellent budgeting and financial skills. Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Strong judgement, leadership, organization, and communication skills. Ability to travel up to 50% as needed to client locations. Preferred Skills and Experience Experience implementing large ADMS programs, preferably on the technology vendor side. PMP Certification. Compensation USD $165,194.00 – USD $180,003.20 per year, with variations by experience, education, skill level, geography, and other factors. Other compensation may include participation in the company’s annual discretionary bonus program, contingent on company, business segment, and individual performance against key performance indicators.
