Scale Operator - Interstate Concrete & Asphalt (Rathdrum)

Position Overview In this role, you'll operate a scale weighing aggregate trucks and assist customers as they pick up products. You’ll work in a fast‑paced environment providing top‑tier service and preventing errors in product handling. Wage $23/hr + DOE with potential for overtime. Opportunities for Community Engagement Key Responsibilities Ensure efficiency of weighing trucks across scale. Monitor load sizes of company trucks. Service all customer pick‑up business. Cash procedures: receive and log cash from C.O.D. sales, gravel tickets, balance and maintain cash box daily. Communicate with loader operator via two‑way radio to accomplish loading pick‑up customers. Greet and assist visitors entering yard; ensure site‑specific safety rules are understood and followed. Collect and sort aggregate order cards along with delivery tickets. Enter delivery times into computer system. Maintain MSHA Part 46 Log ensuring compliance. Record accurate delivery and product information on order; negotiate delivery times with customers. Travel between various work site locations (local) as needed. Perform in high call volume situations while multitasking; sit for long periods of time. May coordinate and schedule deliveries of aggregate or concrete products to construction and residential sites. Maintain regular and timely attendance. Other tasks as assigned to meet business needs. Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment. Qualifications Proficient with Microsoft Windows applications, with exceptional typing skills. Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to work overtime and varying shifts, including early mornings, late afternoons, and Saturdays. Must pass pre‑employment controlled substance testing. Ability to deal with problems as they arise in a professional and courteous manner. Safety‑minded professional who demonstrates good performance and attendance.
